This large, natural-edge cherry bowl is 9"w x 6"h. The wood I turn is not factory kiln dried so it can occasionally crack, especially fruit woods like cherry. The cracking used to bother me until I realized it's just the nature of the wood. In this case it gave me the opportunity to try something new to me...stitching. It maintains the stability of the bowl while adding a nice touch to its beauty.
This bowl also has a beautiful little foot I turned on the bottom that gives it the look that it's floating off the surface its on.
This bowl is perfect as a stand-alone piece or can be used on the counter-top for anything from fruit to seasonal decorations.
Great gift idea for someone at the office, your best friend or loved one, or just delight yourself with this unique, handmade piece.
This bowl has been finished with bees wax and is food-safe.
Natural Edge Cherry Bowl with Stitching
This natural edge cherry bowl was turned from a large section of a blown-down tree. Another piece rescued from a trip to the landfill or burned in a fireplace. I just love discovering what potential a chunk of wood might possess.
This bowl boasts a unique, organic beauty that makes it a perfect gift idea for any occasion. Celebrating the natural artistry of wood, this piece seamlessly combines functionality with elegance. Enhance your home with a touch of nature's splendor that was lovingly shaped to bring out the timeless charm and beauty of the wood.
